Heya! I’m Christine aka The Rook. Rook Book Designs grew out of my desire to help authors get quality, to-market, premade book covers at an affordable price…and my enjoyment of the creative process.
I’m a self-taught designer with most of my learning laser-focused on creating book covers. And, although I don’t have a professional background in design, I’m an avid reader — and I definitely judge a book by its cover. I recognize the importance of knowing the market and the readers of a genre. What draws me to read space fantasy is not what will call me to a murder mystery.
Why the Rook? We love all things corvid. Ravens, crows, rooks. Okay, fine, even magpies.
